Individual Psychotherapy

Individual therapy is one type of psychotherapy that allows a trained professional to assist an individual with identifying and working through personal issues. A comprehensive assessment is conducted to identify and offer individual therapy to address unmet psychological needs. The development of an individual plan of care is a critical and necessary component of our therapeutic programming. Individual therapy has proven to be an effective treatment modality for a variety of emotional problems and mental disorders.

Group Psychotherapy

Group therapy assists individuals with the development and maintenance of improved communication and socialization skills. Sharing common experiences initiates a bond through a sense of bonding, relating and understanding the mindset of others. Group therapy facilitates the ability to increase self-awareness, express personal issues and accept feedback from others. Group therapy has proven to be most effective when utilized to address specific issues that are common to all members of the therapeutic group.

Counseling

Counseling assists individuals, during any stage of life, with overcoming mental health challenges to improve their personal and professional quality of life. This intervention focuses on interpersonal functioning in all areas of life. These are three of the therapy styles commonly utilized.

Psychoanalytic: Assists with awareness of different aspects of mind and personality to reach a mental balance while recognizing hidden motivations.
Behavioral: Belief that a person’s behavior is determined by their environment and the problem will persist as long as the person remains in the environment that reinforces or encourages it.
Humanistic: Assists with developing skills to work through problems and find own solutions through clarification and reflection.
